I had been using more typical ankle supports and found them to be slippery on the training mat. I have been using these Spider Grip supports for a few weeks now. They give me the same support and also provide enough but not too much traction on the mat. I worried that they might have too much grip and prevent my feet from rotating but they don't. I have not yet seen any sign of the rubber wearing off the bottom. These supports are very tight so difficult to put on and take off. Both operations require two hands. However, they have loosened up with use.
